Randolph County is setting its sites on a possible transformation to bring in a big auto manufacturer to the area. Business means growth and growth means business for this Piedmont Triad region. The developers are getting a good vibe about bringing a new face to this otherwise untouched land. There are miles of backroads and farm houses with vast land that has not been utilized for such an endeavor.
In order for a car company to consider a profitable business, water is a must. The task at hand now would be the development of water and sewer lines. This would entail approximately 8 miles of sewer pipe. This would be what some are calling a ‘mega site’ which would also include Guilford County. As for most Cities, Greensboro’s economic potential can depend not only on highways but sewer and water access, as well. The project endorsement is expected to take up to a year with construction beginning in summer 2016. It appears these Counties are in good hands with commercial real estate developers and engineers working together to make sure this is a well-planned, suitable project for the City of Greensboro.
