Most of Bizzy Bee’s work is “under slab” rehabilitation. The company does many lateral projects for the town of Cary. Bizzy Bee keeps a very productive schedule. Currently, they are completing the above slab and vent work along with fixture updates for a 225 unit apartment complex. This complex is more than 30 years old. The aging under slab consists of cast iron and 90 percent of it has no bottom, increasing the chances of a break. Instead of cutting 120’ across each unit, Bizzy Bee is inverting liners and reinstating the two branches. By performing this method, Bizzy Bee is saving the owners a large amount of money in addition to relocation costs, concrete work and other various items.
Another recent project completed by Bizzy Bee was the rehab of 20’ of an aging cast iron pipe. A project that would typically take days to complete, if done by excavation, only took five hours using the Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) method. The Bizzy Bee team
A third recent project the team completed was to install and line a 70’ cast iron sewer line. By again using the CIPP method, the team was able to save time, landscaping, traffic disruptions, and costs.
